When your shoes have run out of miles, it is best to recycle them or reuse them for activities other than running. Many shoe stores accept old pairs and recycle them on your behalf. If you are unable to reycle your shoes with a local store, Soles4Souls is a great organization that takes donated shoes to a new home, or, if the shoes are too worn that they can't be used, they will properly dispose of and recycle the material.
